Design Challenge
The Spots for a Cure Redfish Spot Tournament is an annual fishing event in Palm Valley, Florida, dedicated to bringing anglers together in support of a meaningful cause. With a $200 entry fee per boat and a grand prize of $5,000, the tournament combines competition and community to support a great cause. The challenge of this design project is to create a visually striking and versatile identity that captures the excitement of competitive fishing while emphasizing the event’s charitable purpose.

Design Solution
I focused on creating an engaging and versatile graphic that encapsulates the spirit of the tournament while being suitable for multiple applications, including t-shirts. The process involved revising the fish illustration twice to meet the client’s vision, ensuring the design was both accurate and visually appealing. Each revision refined the details and alignment with the event’s branding, resulting in a dynamic and polished design that celebrates the competitive and charitable nature of the tournament.

Project Results
The final design for Spots for a Cure successfully captures the energy and purpose of the tournament. The bold and dynamic visuals resonate with the fishing community while reinforcing the event’s charitable mission. The design was well-received by the client and participants, seamlessly translating onto t-shirts and other promotional materials.
