Design Challenge
The design challenge for Knot Enough Fishing was to create a logo for the client’s fishing YouTube channel that captures the essence of the brand while incorporating a marlin as a central visual element. The client provided a previous logo design from a freshwater fishing company as a reference for the desired style, setting clear expectations for the aesthetic direction. The challenge involved translating the dynamic and powerful nature of a marlin into a visually engaging and versatile logo.

Design Solution
I focused on creating an engaging and versatile graphic that encapsulates the spirit of the tournament while being suitable for multiple applications, including t-shirts. The process involved revising the fish illustration twice to meet the client’s vision, ensuring the design was both accurate and visually appealing. Each revision refined the details and alignment with the event’s branding, resulting in a dynamic and polished design that celebrates the competitive and charitable nature of the tournament.
Throughout the process, the client and I collaborated on a few revisions, experimenting with different color schemes to enhance the logo’s impact. After exploring multiple options, we settled on a vibrant light green color that perfectly embodied the brand’s fresh and energetic vibe, though all the initial compositions were equally effective. The final design strikes a balance between creativity and functionality, ensuring it stands out both digitally and in print while resonating with the target audience.

Project Results
The vibrant light green color and the marlin illustration perfectly captured the brand’s energy and focus, while the design’s versatility ensured it worked seamlessly across digital platforms and future branding needs. The collaborative process and thoughtful revisions resulted in a logo that the client was proud to showcase, effectively representing their fishing YouTube channel.
